Blackhall
Cricket Club is a small, friendly cricket club situated in South
East Durham, just north of Hartlepool. We are the first club
within the District of Easington area to have achieved the ECB
Clubmark award, which recognises the quality of coaching &
care provided for young cricketers.
Over
the years, many world class players have graced the turf of
our Welfare Park ground, and certain batsmen have smashed cricket
balls into the dene that remain unfound to this date.

Directions
to our Ground:
To
reach the club exit the A19 at the junction with the B1281.
Drive past the golf club on the left, and when the road bears
to the right, take the next left turning signposted 'Blackhall
Colliery'. Follow this road to the end (around 3 miles) and
turn left again at the junction. Driving through the shops of
Blackhall, we are situated in the park at the top of the bank
as you exit the village. You can see our location here.
Junior
/ Senior Teams :
We
currently run 3 senior teams, and 4 junior teams from u-11 to
u-17 level. We have a number of English Cricket Board (ECB)
qualified coaches. One of our coaches, Gary Lavery, currently
holds an ECB Level 3 certificate, one of few people to do so
within Durham.
Come

Our
Ground Facilities :
Blackhall
have been at their Welfare Park home since the inception of
the club in 1929, the ground iself being a compact, enclosed
playing area, with plenty of spectator seating. We have our
own clubhouse, built by the players in 1980 which now has "big
screen" facilities.
